CK Resource places lawyers and legal professionals into law firms and companies. We place talented lawyers across the range of legal specialisation and at all stages of their career. Our historic focus of activity has been in London, but we are also active and successful in the regions and internationally, with placements as far afield as Dubai, Kazakhstan, Moscow and Shanghai.
The principals of CK Resource are Cliff Kilner and Andrew Howe Browne, who between them have over 25 years experience of recruiting lawyers.
Cliff Kilner is a graduate of the Manchester School of Management (UMIST) and has fifteen year’s experience in recruitment - ten years of this at Michael Page International and subsequently at CK Resource, having founded the business in 2004.
Andrew Howe Browne gained a First in Classics at Oxford and is a Member of Gray’s Inn. After an earlier career in government relations, both in private practice and as communications manager for The British Bankers’ Association, he qualified as a barrister. He then spent four and a half years placing lawyers at Hays ZMB where he quickly became a senior consultant. He joined with CK Resource in 2005.
Our central aim is to provide a personal, discreet and tailored service to lawyers wanting to make a career move and an effective service to the clients who seek to attract them.

This discreet, tailored and informed approach to placing lawyers enables them to identify and access their best career options and includes advice on CV preparation and interview coaching which achieves results.
Last year we had a 90% success rate in securing offers for lawyers ranging from NQ level to Partner. During a particularly busy year for us over 60% of our placements came as a result of referrals from lawyers we had previously placed.
