Devonshires has been based in the City of London for more than 150 years. From our offices on London Wall we provide legal services to clients based throughout England, Wales, the Channel Islands and the Isles of Scilly. We are recognised as a medium-sized niche firm specialising in commercial / corporate, civil litigation, community housing, employment, projects and property.
We are on the panel to provide legal advice to The Housing Corporation, act as Intervention Agents for the Supervision of Solicitors for the Law Society and undertake work for the Treasury Solicitor.
With the increasingly complex demands of our clients, our expertise has broadened. Our past experience has been considered and additional specialist areas – for example our new insolvency department – reflect the increasingly sophisticated requirements and changing interests of our clients.
Over the past few years we have grown significantly and now have approximately 180 staff. We work hard at maintaining a non-hierarchical, open door environment within the office so our staff actually enjoy coming to work.
Many of our professional staff – including partners – have come from other leading law firms and are attracted by our ability to offer a wide variety of workload, an impressive and varied client base and early responsibility – including the opportunity to develop relationships with key clients from the outset, and a healthy work / lifestyle balance which is often unachievable at other firms. |
