The firm is organised into four departments; company/commercial, litigation, property and private client. Cross-departmental groups provide co-ordinated advice on a broad range of issues including agriculture, banking, construction, employment, property development/urban regeneration, planning and environmental, PFI and public procurement, corporate tax and health sector issues. We offer a full range of commercial and private client services with particular expertise in handling corporate, mergers and acquisitions work, property development, PFI and construction work and have handled a range of projects of regional and national significance and for agricultural work.
Our client base is large, with both public and private sectors well represented. We are well know for the corporate, mergers and acquisitions and general commercial work we handle on behalf of a number of key regional clients, and we also act for a great number of smaller privately-owned businesses, handling day-to-day commercial issues across a wide variety of industrial and commercial sectors. Our clients include a number of local authorities and major NHS trusts and we act for a large number of overseas companies locating in the region.
Our specialist European law Brussels office further enhances our European expertise. Dickinson Dees has a close working relationship with our associated firm in Brussels, Renouf & Co, a firm based in the heart of the 'European Quarter'. Through this association we provide specialist advice and assistance on all areas of European law and policy. Our Brussels team can assist with cases before the European courts, competition notifications to the European Commission, monitoring reports giving early warnings of new legislative developments, lobbying the institutions and general European law advice. We also have associations with quality law firms on a worldwide basis.
