Mayer Brown is a truly international legal services organisation delivering advice to leading companies, financial institutions and multinational businesses through our offices in 21 key financial and commercial centres in Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Approximately 1,800 lawyers are focussed around primary industry and practice groups and work collaboratively with clients to understand the business environments in which they operate. Our clients include many of the FTSE100 and Fortune 500 companies together with other global leaders in industries including manufacturing, banking, insurance, communications, media, IT, industrials, energy, construction, professional services, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and mining. Our lawyers practise in a wide range of areas including corporate, finance, litigation and dispute resolution, real estate, insurance and reinsurance, pensions and employment, competition and trade, tax, intellectual property, and information technology.
In January 2008, Mayer Brown combined with Johnson, Stokes & Master (JSM) to become a full-service law firm working with clients across Asia, Europe and the Americas. The practice has developed in this region over more than 140 years and its understanding of the regional economic, cultural and business environment has been recognised with numerous accolades and awards in the past decade including Hong Kong Law Firm of the Year in 2007 and in each of the previous seven years. With the added support of an international network, our lawyers in Asia will continue to build on their industry knowledge to provide clients with what they have come to expect from Mayer Brown.
Mayer Brown takes pro bono work and social responsibility seriously. In the London office, more than a quarter of our people are involved in pro bono and community service projects over the course of any year, and we have been recognised locally and internationally for our achievements in this area. Our lawyers in all fields are actively encouraged to develop their specialist skills through our mentoring, training and secondment programmes. We are lawyers for business, offering leading edge solutions for our clients. Integrated practice areas enable our lawyers to work together and share professional knowledge and experience. Our teams of lawyers work in close partnership with clients, offering pragmatic, commercial advice, and have thorough commercial understanding of our clients' needs. Our lawyers are considered experts in their field and many are from industry backgrounds.
The success of our "relationship approach" to clients continues to develop through secondments to industrial and corporate clients both in the UK and internationally. By encouraging secondments, we are able to give our lawyers valuable in-house experience which increases their commercial awareness.
