The Firm has two offices; one in Bishop’s Stortford with ten Partners and eighty staff, and the other in Sawbridgeworth with one Partner and ten staff and together have the following teams.
Commercial Client Services
• Commercial Property & Development dealing with acquisition and disposal of commercial freehold and leasehold properties, renewal of leases, funding and management, construction contracts.
• Company Commercial Department dealing with company formation, acquisitions, mergers and buy-outs, franchising, commercial agreements, start-up and small business advice.
• Employment unit dealing with both contentious and non-contentious matters, agreements, advice and tribunals.
• Commercial Litigation dealing with all forms of litigation including Court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, tribunals and debt collection, professional negligence.
• Agricultural services.
• Licensing (liquor and gaming).
Private Client Services
• Wills, Probate, Trust and Tax Department dealing with the preparation of Wills, grant of Probate, establishment of Trusts, preparation of Estate and Trust accounts and Inheritance Tax planning.
• Residential Conveyancing dealing with residential estate conveyancing, mortgages, secured lending, leases and lettings.
• Family and General Litigation Department dealing with all aspects of breakdown of families, divorce, financial resolution, Children’ Act matters including acting for children and guardian in public care proceedings.
• General litigation, personal injury and insurance claims.
Nicholas Belcher, as well as being the firm’s Senior Partner, is also a Notary Public.
Nockolds LLP is also proud to have achieved the prestigious Lexcel Quality Mark which was designed by The Law Society specifically for solicitors. The scheme looks at all aspects of practice management and helps to ensure that practices deliver excellent client care and a consistently high quality of service. Currently only 425 firms of solicitors have attained Lexcel accreditation authorising them to use the Lexcel logo on stationary and promotional literature.
