Praxis Partners and its sister company Cogent are leading providers of services to the insurance industry, specialising in Defendant and Claimant Personal Injury work respectively.
Praxis Partners operates from purpose designed open plan offices in the centre of Leeds and has a total compliment of 140 staff, comprising of 70 fee earners, 40 fee earner support staff and 30 administrative, finance and IT staff. The firm concentrates exclusively on Insurance work providing the full range of services to the Insurance community, covering motor cases, employers liability and public liability, product, property and professional risks. Cogent covers two different areas of the business. Firstly, the Claimant arm, which has offices in Leeds and Croydon with around 80 employees in total. The second area of Cogent concerns our units, who operate ‘in-house’ at the offices of our insurer clients. These units specialise in Defendant RTA as well as Home Claims and has a total staff of around 55.
We are a major supplier of services to clients such as the Zurich Financial Services Group, the Direct Line Group, AIG, Consignia Plc, Aurora Corporate Services, NU, South Yorkshire Police, Winterthur, Crawfords and a range of other Insurers, Adjusters, Syndicates and self Insureds. Our work ranges from the routine to the most complex high value group actions. For a number of clients we provide a pre-litigation claims handling service.
Our core business is the provision of claims handling and legal services to Insurance and related Industries, defending claims made against policy holders. We have a large, well resourced and motivated work force to support this one area of business. We focus on nothing else but Insurance work. We act for a range of major insurers and have experience in all areas of Insurance work.
Our work covers the full range, from routine damage only claims to multi-million pound catastrophic injury cases. We are at the fore front of the challenges facing Insurers covering a spectrum of risks, be it failure to educate and stress claims or credit hire litigation.
