OUR BUSINESS
Thomas & Dessain specialises in recruiting for offshore markets. However, we use the term 'offshore' as a general description of jurisdictions which have significant banking, investment and other financial services industries and supporting professional infrastructure deriving from the attractiveness of their low tax and regulatory regimes.
Thus, for example, we work not only in the 'classic' offshore territories such as the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, and Cayman Islands but also in Dubai, Switzerland and Hong Kong.
Our head office and base is in Jersey, where we were established in mid-1997 and where much of our business has been concentrated. We also have an office in Guernsey and have a presence in London.
Broadly speaking, we work in private banking, the trust and funds sectors and the professions.
We have developed a significant Interim Executive business, placing highly qualified and experienced finance industry professionals on contract or in temporary employment.
We recruit regularly at Board, Partner and Chief Officer level, as well as sourcing lawyers, accountants, trust professionals at all levels, Financial Controllers, specialists in SPVs and securitisation, Senior Funds Managers, Directors of Regulatory Authorities, IT professionals, Relationship Managers, Customer Services Directors, Compliance Officers, marketing managers, Product Development Managers, Fund Accountants, Investment Services Mangers, private bankers at all levels, etc.
