Pupillage Interviews uncovered

The University of Law recently launched their feature “pupillage interviews uncovered” giving an insight into what the first round of interviews are like for pupillage. 

The video stars:

• Shanthi Sivakumaran - pupillage at Lamb Building 
• Rebecca Keating, future pupil at 4 Pump Court, 
• Max Turnell – future pupil at 1 King’s Bench Walk
• Colm Kelly – pupil at Devereux

Preparing for pupillage interviews
Shanthi mentions that many pupillages she applied for would ask questions on current affairs. She prepared by reading the news extensively and preparing arguments for and against each topic.

Rebecca suggests the 3 main things to prepare are yourself, information about the Chambers, and the practice areas of chambers. 

Colm said being over prepared is key - research as much as you can on the Chambers and know your CV back to front.
