DLA Piper has announced a new appointment to its litigation and regulatory practice in London.
The firm has recruited Andrij Jurkiw as a partner, tasking him with overseeing major competition investigations and litigations.
Specialising in Office of Fair Trading investigations and competition enquires in the retail, construction, transport and construction services, Mr Jurkiw will also become responsible for overseeing the improvement of the division's contentious practice.
Mr Jurkiw stated that he was "delighted" to be taking up a position within the company.
"I am very much looking forward to the opportunities and challenges my role at DLA Piper will bring," he remarked, adding that the quality of litigation and regulatory work done at DLA Piper is "known internationally".
Elsewhere in the legal industry, Latham & Watkins recently announced that 30 new partners, will be joining the firm, six of whom will be based at its London office.
The firm also made appointments at its offices around the world, including those in New York, Singapore and Hamburg.
