DLA Piper had announced the launch of a new financial crisis response team.
The law firm has assembled the body in order to provide its clients with advice in a number of key areas during the current economic turmoil.
Topics such as the sale and purchase of assets, clearing and settlement matters will be covered by the advisory team, along with risk management, enforcement and litigation issues.
Commenting on the new team, DLA Piper noted that businesses across the globe are being affected by the "fast-changing events" taking place in the world's financial markets.
"It is certain that the sources and costs of funding are changing, and government regulation is intensifying," the firm explained, adding that its "global network" of legal professionals would be providing advice to concerned clients.
DLA recently announced a new partner for its litigation and regulatory practice, with Andrij Jurkiw joining as a specialist in, among other areas, Office of Fair Trading investigations and competition enquires.
