Dewey & LeBoeuf has appointed Christophe Salamon as a partner in the firm's Paris office, it has been announced.
Mr Salamon will take up his new legal job at the company's corporate practice in the French capital after leaving Clifford Chance's base in the city, where he was a partner for the past nine years.
A specialist in the corporate, merger and acquisition (M&A) and private equity sectors, his new practice will advise clients on issues including privatisations, public-to-private corporate reorganisations and investments in companies.
Commenting on his move, Mr Salamon said he was "delighted" to be joining a "renowned and dynamic firm".
"I believe the Paris office and its highly-qualified lawyers to be an ideal vehicle for the development of corporate, private equity, M&A, restructuring, tax and banking activities," he remarked.
Mr Salamon's former employer has announced the appointment of former United States Federal Trade Commission general counsel William Blumenthal, as it looks to strengthen its US antitrust practice.
