Document Production Technician - Leeds

We have a number of vacancies in our Document Production unit for daytime and evening shifts.

If you are seeking a challenging and fulfilling role and have superior PC skills we are currently recruiting in our Document Production Department. The team operates across 24 hours 5 days per week. We are a UK network with a DP team in each location, working for all practice groups sharing work across the network to meet demand. In addition we also support Europe and other offices worldwide from time to time.

You will be joining our highly skilled, professional document production team in a role that will develop your skills and challenge your technical expertise. You will be responsible for the production of a wide variety of documentation across all practice groups. In order to meet our exacting standards, we are looking for expertise on Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Visio and Publisher. You will undergo our comprehensive training programme in order that you are fully equipped to meet the above requirements.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate initiative within a team culture and be a strong team player. Good communication/relationship building skills are essential for successful working both within the immediate team and the wider office network. SKILLS REQUIRED
Broad experience of working in a professional services environment with an emphasis on document based departments such as Corporate and Real Estate
Advanced level of Microsoft Office 2010 applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio
Knowledge of Laserforms, working with a document management system and digital dictation software

OBJECTIVES
To produce documents for internal and external clients to the specified standards and in accordance with the DLA Piper house style requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Produce quality documentation on time, to fee earner expectations and in accordance with house style to the highest possible standards and accuracy
• Take work from the DP BigHand folder as prioritised
• Ensure the required deadlines stated on the worksheets are met
to keep fee earners aware in relation to specific difficulties or timescales should their job be at risk for whatever reason
• Embrace the quality check protocols operational within the department
• Ensure feedback forms are completed for all pieces of work
• Complete timesheets accurately in accordance with department protocols for prompt submission to the manager
• Show initiative and responsibility when dealing personally with fee earners
• Attend training as and when necessary on specified dates
• Attend departmental meetings (where appropriate) and to take an active part in discussions and give feedback
• Help to raise the profile of DP with a professional approach within the team and towards internal clients at all times
• Show commitment and flexibility to the job
• Respect and apply the policies laid down in the Human Resources Policy Manual.
