Our client is a high profile technology driven business in Leeds which has had exceptional growth in recent years. The mid-sized legal team is highly regarded and well integrated into the organisation. This growth is set to continue and has driven the need to hire a skilled lawyer to join the team in a part time capacity to work in a PSL role, supporting the Senior Lawyers.
The role is essentially to identify and offer advice on all legal implications such as regulatory restrictions, licensing implications on affecting new and existing products, and to ensure there is a strong knowledge management system for use by the legal team. Youll get involved in establishing new standard terms and conditions, and investigating non-standard legal contracts to assess compliance and regulatory issues involved.
They require an experienced commercial solicitor (minimum 3 years pqe) who has a pragmatic and commercial outlook and who can advise on contractual issues (commercial / IP / IT). Ideally you will have some in house experience, but this is not essential, but you must have a strong contracts background, ideally gained from a recognised commercial law firm. This role may suit some one who is experienced and wants to work fewer hours, or a child carer who is looking for a part time role with flexibility.
