Commercial law firm in Bristol is looking to recruit an EU/Competition lawyer of 2 to 5 years’ PQE. The team advises clients on the full range of complex, high-quality and challenging UK and EU competition, State aid, procurement and economic regulation work, before the Office of Fair Trading, Competition Commission, European Commission and other competition and regulatory authorities.
Matters and advice include: UK, EU and multi-jurisdictional merger control; dawn raids and cartel, competition and dominance investigations, where they act for both complainants and defendants; market studies and investigations; the application of the State aid and procurement rules, where they advise both public bodies and private sector clients; and economic and other sector-specific regulation. Our lawyers have extensive experience of competition, State aid and procurement litigation in the UK and EU courts, including appeals, judicial review proceedings and follow-on damages actions.
The team advises across a broad range of business sectors, including: consumer goods, food and drink production and distribution, retail, transport (including rail, bus and air), financial services and banking, construction, sport, chemicals and chemical distribution, tobacco, IT and technology, energy (including oil and gas, nuclear and renewables), utilities, telecoms and media, defence and pharmaceuticals.
You will currently specialise in EU/Competition law (contentious and/or non-contentious) at a law firm recognised for the work it does in this arena.
