Our client is a long established and successful high tech engineering business with a diverse and interesting product line. A need has arisen for an experienced interim lawyer to join the small team, for a period of 6-9 months. Their current Group Solicitor is due to go on maternity leave and they will need someone to support the business and undertake a range of commercial contracts focused work.
This wide ranging role is focussed around drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of complex heavyweight supply and purchasing contracts, but could also encompass IP / technology transfer agreements, and joint ventures as well as general commercial support to the business. Youll also need to stay abreast of legal developments and relevant legislation affecting the company and incorporate them into the company's practices, and help develop, and understand, risk mitigation strategies for contractual risks.
To be successful in this role you will need a strong commercial contracts background (anticipated to be at least 6 years pqe ), ideally having worked in house, and have pragmatic and commercial outlook to assisting a business achieve its goals
The company is based in West Yorkshire, and is easily commutable from both Leeds an Manchester Huddersfield.
