Our client has a rare opportunity for a property paralegal to work in house for a minimum of 6 weeks holiday cover.
They are looking for an experienced housing paralegal to process and manage a large caseload of residential possession proceedings to be based in their London office. The successful candidate will have experience in dealing with residential tenants and landlords, have a good telephone manner and be computer/IT literate.
Experience is needed in notice drafting, statement taking and residential possessions claims providing support to landlords and letting agents on a day to day basis. Knowledge of CPR Part 55 is essential.
You will be able to deal with a large volume of landlord and tenant cases representing landlords at all stages, including defended matters.
The ability to cope under pressure, work efficiently and accurately is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Liaising with clients, letting agents and courts.
* Drafting relevant notices.
* Drafting, filling and serving claim forms for possessions.
* Instructing and briefing Advocates/Counsel.
* Attending to all aspects of defendant matters such as allocation questionnaires, disclosure, exchange of documents, witness statements, expert witnesses and bundle preparation.
* Answering overflow new enquiry calls and responsible for the smooth running of a large volume of cases.
