This is an excellent opportunity to work in an exciting and thrilling environment. The name behind world-famous attractions including LEGOLAND®, Alton Towers Resort, THORPE PARK Resort, Madame Tussauds, The London Eye and SEA LIFE requires a Group Company Secretarial Assistant to join its small Legal, Property and Company Secretarial team in Poole, Dorset.

About the role

You will be responsible for assisting the Department to ensure that all Merlin group companies comply with applicable legal and corporate governance obligations. You will provide supervision of the Company Secretarial records for UK entities and assist with the management of internal and external resources responsible for maintaining overseas Company Secretarial records.

You will also assist with the incorporation of all new legal entities, management of the group insurance programme and management of the group intellectual property portfolio.

About you

You will most likely be ICSA qualified or part ICSA qualified with planned completion for full qualification in the next 12 months.

You will either have working knowledge and understanding of listed company corporate governance requirements and compliance obligations or a willingness to develop your knowledge and experience in these areas.

Ideally, you will be familiar with the Global Entity Management System (GEMS) and BoardWorks applications.

Knowledge of UK statutory company secretarial compliance legislation, insurance risk and policies, employee share plans, UK Intellectual Property Rights law and practice will all be of assistance.

Sound numeracy, literacy and IT skills are important.
