Locum Childcare Lawyer

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Childcare Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the West Midlands. This contract is offered for an initial period of 3-6 months.

Our client is a well respected Local Authority with a large established legal team.

The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with previous experience specialising in Childcare law, ideally from a Local Authority background. Experienced Lawyers with a Private Practice background with the relevant experience will also be considered.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
*Handling a busy caseload of Child Protection cases including interim care orders and emergency protection orders under the Public Law Outline
*Advocating in both the County Court and Family Proceedings Court including directions hearings and half day hearings
*Dealing with own advocacy for contested and final hearings

A rate of £27 - £30 per hour dependant upon experience is offered and our client is willing to consider flexible hours and/or homeworking for the right candidate
