Interim Legal Counsel

Long-term interim position with a global brand based in Berkshire, to cover an increased workload within the team. The job is likely to go permanent later in the year.

This role presents a great opportunity for someone to further their commercial experience within a legal team that can offer an exciting and varied remit.

You will be involved with drafting & negotiating commercial agreements relating to sales, promotions, advertising, marketing, IT, NDAs, consultancy terms, sponsorship and logistics, as well as a myriad of other contracts sent through to the legal team.

Where appropriate, there will also be the chance to extend the role to deal with matters relating to competition law, compliance and litigation.

The client believes that this position is best suited to a lawyer with between 2-8 years PQE, although applications from candidates at all levels are welcome, if they have the requisite experience.

Previous commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience is essential. Ideally this will have been gained in-house, although lawyers coming directly from private practice are also encouraged to apply.

It is preferable that you are available for an immediate start, although candidates on up to 2 weeks notice in their current role can be considered. Please note that whilst it is possible to reach the client offices via public transport, it is by no means a straightforward task, so access to a car would be a significant advantage.
