Our client is a company operating in the construction / energy sector. Their Head office is in the German speaking part of Switzerland.
They are now looking for a common law qualified lawyer with at least 6 years' experience in construction/projects. You will be reporting directly into the General Counsel and will be responsible for drafting and negotiating complex multijurisdictional contracts, advising on tender processes, advising on EU public procurement law, as well as manage any litigation relating to the procurement process, liaise with the project finance team to ensure alignment between project finance and procurement.
You will be a top level lawyer with at least 5 years' experience gained in a top level law firm or international in-house legal department. You have extensive work experience in construction projects, ideally from oil and gas or trans-border infrastructure projects. You will have a very good understanding of project finance requirements in connection with project delivery contracts. Knowledge of EU public procurement rules is also a prerequisite. You will be a strong self-starter, very well organised with good leadership skills. You enjoy working in a very dynamic, rapidly changing and very international environment. You work well under pressure and tight deadlines. South East European experience is a plus.
