Reinsurance Contract Specialist - Switzerland

Our client is the world's largest managers for insurance-linked strategies with close to USD 3.5bn assets under management.

For their international team consisting of portfolio managers and underwriters, they are now looking for a reinsurance contract specialist (wordings legal) to work with the underwriting team in their deal negotiation process. The role is based in the HQ in Switzerland, close to Zürich.

You will be part of an international team and be responsible to support the growth strategy of our client for investments in collateralised reinsurance. You will be reviewing and drafting reinsurance agreements, establish standard clauses and guidelines, review potential loss activity (claims, arbitration, etc), review and lead the negotiations on contracts with service providers.

You will have a legal background (university degree in law) and work experience within a legal team of a reinsurance or large primary insurance company, preferably in the area of contract legal with a focus on reinsurance wordings. Fluency in English is a must, good German language skills are desirable. You will be a strong self starter, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
