Property Paralegal- This is an excellent opportunity for a bright property paralegal to join a strong regional law firm in their Agricultural department based in Northampton. The team are dealing with increasing workloads due to their excellent reputation and need an enthusiastic and driven property paralegal to assist with handling a wide range of agricultural property matters. The work is very varied and very interesting.
Our client has been recognised as a leader in providing agricultural law and rural business services for more than 100 years. They act for family farms, landed estates and national charities with big land holdings.
The role:
To provide paralegal support to the rural property sector handling a wide range of connected agricultural matters
Types of work includes:
*The sale and purchase of farms and farmland, as well as other aspects of the transfer of the farming business
*Grant, termination and dealings with all types of tenancies - agricultural tenancies, residential tenancies and business leases
*Sales for non-agricultural use: particularly the grant of options and sales of farmland to developers acquiring land for residential and commercial development
*Renewable energy projects, including wind farms
*Sales/purchase/letting of estate/farm cottages and other residential property
The candidate:
*You will have strong academics and a genuine interest in property law
*Practical experience is essential and those from a commercial or residential background will be considered so long as you can demonstrate an interest in rural law and ideally experience of handling unregistered property
*Good client facing skills, highly organised and commercially driven
*Agricultural work is very challenging and candidates must have the aptitude for and interest in Agricultural work.
