In order to support the continued strategic growth of the company, we are now seeking to appoint a
Senior Corporate Counsel
to join the company’s global headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
Reporting into the Chief Legal Officer, you will join a global legal team of outstanding professionals and manage a small team yourself. You will be responsible for providing first class legal advice on a global level to the business in commercial, corporate and compliance matters, in particular you will draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements as well supporting the business in M&A activity, including actively managing the deal process as well as due diligence activity. Furthermore you will provide corporate governance support to the Board of Directors and several different committees as well as working closely together with the Executive Leadership Team of the company. You will be highly proactive in ensuring compliance and regulatory obligations are met and where appropriate devise new strategies to fulfil ethics and compliance requirements.
WABCO continuously strives towards excellence and this is also reflected in their workforce. You are a common law qualified lawyer with at least eight years’ work experience gained at a leading law firm and within a top level in-house legal department. Experience within the manufacturing industry is advantageous. You are an excellent communicator with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You display a high level of business acumen combined with strong analytical skills and are able to work well under pressure meeting tight deadlines.
