Senior Legal Director - Switzerland

Our client is a global player operating in the life sciences industry. They are now looking for an outstanding lawyer to join their company as a senior legal director to be based in Switzerland.

You will be responsible for providing commercial legal support to the business with a wide regional scope, in particular managing legal risk across the region, supporting M&A transactions and operations as well as providing regulatory advice. You will manage a small team and supervise external counsel as required. Furthermore you will assist the compliance function in implementing the global compliance programme and will ensure appropriate policies and procedures are created.

You are an excellent lawyer, qualified in an EU member state, with at least 7 years' post-qualification experience acquired at a leading law firm as well as in-house experience in the healthcare, biotech or pharmaceutical sectors. You are a strong self-starter with outstanding business acumen and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business both internally and externally. You thrive in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure. You are fluent in English, including the ability to draft in this language. Other language skills are not mandatory, but may be advantageous.
