We`re constantly evolving and have an opportunity for a like-minded and forward thinking In-house Legal Counsel to provide pro-active legal advice to enable the Group to deliver commercial objectives, as well as build and maintain relationships with our key clients.
Already established within this field, you`ll hold responsibility for:
- Contracts - drafting and implementing framework, developing legal precedents and reviewing a broad range of complex commercial agreements, supply chain and internal stakeholder support
- Litigation Management support - minimising scope for conflict, initial analysis, proceedings and recoveries, hearings and settlement
- Commercial Property - Advisory on leasehold portfolio, leasehold transactions and key point of contact for Property Manager and agents
- Regulatory - Analysis of regulatory developments, such as CDM/CIS
- Commercial - Drafting and negotiation of Commercial agreements, such as intercompany loans, working capital agreements and NDA`s
- Corporate Governance - Structures, principals, context of documentation for distribution
- Employment Law - TUPE, policies, recruitment, Working Time Regulations, discrimination, tribunals and discipline and grievance
You`ll also act as a General Advisory to our internal stakeholders and external parties. The topics will be wide ranging so you`ll have plenty of variety and involvement with policies such as Code of Conduct and Ethics for Global Implementation, conducting internal investigations, commissioning external legal advice in specialist areas and provision of OFAC and Anti-Bribery advice to our Global business.
Who we`re looking for:
Naturally, you`ll have a degree level or equivalent qualification, such as CILEX, with extensive contracts and commercial experience, combined with:
- The ability to develop constructive professional relationships across the business
- A persuasive and influential style, to manage and exceed our internal client base`s expectations
- The ability to identify and manage legal risk across a broad spectrum
- Demonstrate a commercial outlook and manage workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and drafting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidence to work with autonomy
- Licensed in the UK essential, Licensed in Ireland would be a distinct advantage, but not bar to appointment.
