Corporate Paralegal - 9mths - £150-180/day (£35-42k)

American-headquartered professional services organisation are looking for a corporate paralegal to join their EMEA legal team in Central London, for a nine month maternity cover contract.

Working in a close-knit team, you will be afforded a varied remit with high levels of responsibility. The primary focus will be assisting on all corporate matters including maintaining books for the organisation's entities and funds across Europe, audit reports and company secretarial duties. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting with a constant flow of commercial agreements being dealt with by the team, as well as reporting on regulatory and compliance issues. You will also have the opportunity to manage relationships with external counsel across various territories.

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a corporate paralegal in either a private practice or in-house role. The client estimates that you would need at least one year's experience in this area to carry out the duties of the role (the more, the better) but all applications will be considered on merit. And as a base requirement, in addition to your professional experience, you must have completed the LPC and possess a strong academic record. The job also requires someone with energy, enthusiasm and confidence in order to handle what at times can be a fast-paced environment.

The contract is due to start in early February so applicants on more than two weeks notice cannot be considered. Ideally you will be available for an immediate start.
