An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Property Paralegal to join a well-established City firm’s Real Estate and Projects Team on a permanent basis.

The successful Property Paralegal will be working as part of a team which includes projects, property, procurement, and development lawyers within a single group, and they also work with the firm’s Banking, Corporate, Employment and Housing teams to provide excellent legal services on projects across housing, leisure, energy, healthcare and accommodation projects.

The Property Paralegal’s work will focus on development projects for Housing Associations and private developers, there will also would be the opportunity to gain exposure to the firm’s wider projects work.

The successful Property Paralegal must have either completed the LPC or be studying towards it and will ideally have prior property experience.

The Property Paralegal will gain excellent exposure to a broad range of Property work, from residential conveyancing to large PFI (Private Finance Initiative) projects.

The main responsibilities of this Property Paralegal role are as follows:

  • Assisting fee earners with the conveyancing processes
  • Proof reading documents  
  • Managing own caseload and assisting solicitors and other fee earners in the day to day administration of files
  • Undertaking Land registration formalities
  • Completion of SDLT (Stamp Duty Land Tax) returns
  • Carrying out legal research
  • Collating land disposal information packs
  • Assisting with enquiries
  • Providing clients with monthly invoices and progress reports
  • Efficiently managing a large number of deadlines relating to a variety of cases

The successful Property Paralegal will be keen to work as part of a fast-paced team and be in regular contact with clients, as such excellent communication skills and good attention to detail are key.
