Systech International currently has opportunities for exceptional and talented Paralegals in the Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and European regions.

Systech International is a leading claims and dispute resolution consultancy and is currently involved in some of the largest and most complex construction and engineering projects in the world.

A Paralegal who works for Systech International would most likely be working in a multi-cultural team environment and would typically look forward to:

• Working on live construction projects, providing support to our teams involved in the preparation and defence of construction claims

• Reviewing and appraising risks in contracts on major projects

• Making bespoke amendments to standard contracts

• Helping to prepare sub-contractor agreements

• Drafting correspondence, including counter-claim letters

• Facilitating negotiations in meetings, including translations

• Assisting in the preparation of independent, third party reports

• Discovery

• Researching and preparing bespoke seminar materials for client training purposes  (various contract types, claims assessment, dispute resolution methods etc.)

• General Administration support, as required

Candidate Requirements:

• Paralegals will need to have obtained an SRA qualifying law degree in the UK

• Preferably will have undertaken or registered for the LPC

• Must be fluent in English

• Languages: ideally speak, read and write fluently in at least one of the following languages French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean or Chinese

• 3-5 years post graduate Paralegal experience

• Ideally have prior experience in the construction and engineering industries and be widely travelled

• Hold a valid, current UK passport

• Excellent health record

• Mobile and flexible

A candidate who completes a satisfactory 12 months with Systech International in a Paralegal role will be considered for a training contract with Systech Solicitors to become UK qualified and experienced Solicitors.
