PERSONAL INJURY LIABILITY ADJUSTER – LIVERPOOL

The EL/PL Casualty team of this leading law firm is looking for someone with the necessary analytical and investigatory skills to assist and support fee earners within the department. The role involves case-building and evidence gathering as well as spotting gaps in evidence. This is a role for someone who has keen attention to details and also possesses excellent interpersonal skills, enabling them to conduct interviews with witnesses when necessary.

  • Previous experience: Excellent attention to detail with specific reference to evidence gathering and analysis from a personal injury EL/PL perspective with the ability to prepare detailed reports and statements where necessary.

PUTTING THE ROLE IN CONTEXT

As a liability adjuster, you will provide crucial support to the fee earners in the team. Your role will be to analyse evidence including witness statements and assess whether there may be any gaps or anomalies in the information provided. A key aspect of the role will be interviewing witnesses where necessary to ascertain the facts of a given situation and to then be able to provide a detailed report based on your findings.

The role will also require the successful applicant to attend site visits where necessary and conduct field investigations, so flexibility and the ability to travel when required is also important.

NECESSARY CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

This position involves a range of skills including but not limited to:

  • Excellent communication skills, whether with witnesses or liaising with clients;
  • Keen attention to detail – this is fundamental to the role especially, when analysing evidence or gathering more information.
  • The ability to present information accurately especially in the form of reports or statements.
  • An ability to work in a team as well as independently.

DEVELOPING A VALUABLE SET OF SKILLS

This role involves and draws on a mixture of skills and techniques. You will develop and build upon your skills of analysis and will be trained on the various systems which are there to support you in your work.
