In-House - Commercial Counsel

 In-House Senior Legal Counsel – Corporate/Commercial 7+ PQE – Global Bank – London

Our client is a leading global financial services company. They offer a wide range of asset management, investment banking and custodian products and are looking to expand their legal team with a strong 7+ PQE funds (corporate) or corporate/commercial lawyer. You will work in a flat-structured and collegiate legal function and work closely with senior members of the legal team including the Head of Legal. You will also work closely with front office and key stakeholders within the business. You will draft, negotiate and review a broad range of financial services/ fund linked commercial contracts such as fund accounting, collateral management agreements and custody agreements. The role will see you working on high level cross border work and supporting the business in corporate legal matters.

Applicants should:
• Be England & Wales Qualified with 7+  years PQE;
• Ideally possess proven funds/asset management (corporate) experience or financial services related  commercial contracts  within EMEA;
• Have experience with a range of commercial contracts with custody agreements, fund accounting or    outsourcing transactions being ideal;
• Have experience working with a leading law firm (UK/US), Bank, Corporate, Asset Manager or Fund 
• Possess the ability to work autonomously whilst remaining a reliable team player;
• Have strong communication skills and relationship building qualities to maintain existing and build new relationships.
