Senior Legal Counsel - Projects, Construction - Manchester

Due to expansion and additional projects, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a senior In-house Solicitor to join an established business based from their offices in central Manchester.

With an extremely varied commercial remit at a high level, the post holder with work alongside the Head of Legal for the business as well as with external legal third parties in the management of and providing legal support for large scale capital infrastructure projects. The role will also include co-ordinating effective relationships and activity with external lawyers and other third parties, as well as reviewing and drafting a range of commercial contracts and handling procurement matters.

We are looking for a qualified solicitor of around 8-10 years PQE, with strong In-house experience a must and with a background in Planning and/or Construction as well as projects, particularly major capital projects. You will have a solid commercial background with experience in advising the business on a range of company legal matters. The successful candidate will also have in-depth understanding of commercial property law and will be comfortable working in challenging environments. Experience in an Energy-related industry would be an advantage though is not essential.
