Residential Property Team Leader

A rare and exciting opportunity for a Residential Property Team Leader to join one of the UK's top 200 law firms, based in their Yeovil office. 

The Role

60% of your role will involve residential conveyancing fee earning work, covering the full spectrum from instruction to post completion. This includes landlord & tenant work, social housing as well as development work. 

40% of your role will be focusing on non-fee earning work, to include:

• Staff management of circa 5 Fee Earners and 5 Support Staff. 
  • this includes performance management, quarterly and annual performance reviews, budget management, and acting as the firm wide technical knowledge guru on all things residential property related 
• Business Development 

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have at least five years worth of residential property experience and must be able to demonstrate experience of handling high volume residential property work dealing with all aspects, including sales, acquisitions, and refinancing. You will have previous staff management experience and have a passion for driving a team forward and developing individuals to reach their full potential. 

The role will suit a residential property solicitor, licensed conveyancer, or FCILEx who has the skills and appetite to lead a team of legal advisors, assistants and support staff, providing support and guidance to the whole team.

A commercial and strategic thinker, the successful candidate will actively support the Firm’s business development strategy.
