Head of Legal

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Head of Legal at a prestigious global organisation. The role will have overall responsibility for the legal affairs throughout Europe, with responsibility for the UK operations and business. The role will also have responsibility for the management of pan European contract matters and Corporate restructuring and transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and providing direction to the legal team.
• Developing the mid-term and long-term business plan
• Providing legal advice across a wide range of business issues to include contracts, data protection, outsourcing, advertising/marketing, sales promotions, corporate and employment
• Supporting company secretarial with the drafting of minutes and documentation
• Managing compliance an d other training initiatives in the UK and Europe
• Managing corporate governance matters
• Preparing, managing and ownership of the legal budget
• Responsible for corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions

This is an interesting and challenging opportunity which requires experience of both corporate and commercial Law. You will be responsible for a small legal team and will be required to foster good business relationships with key stakeholders in the business. The successful candidate will have at  least 6 years PQE from a reputable law firm or in-house organisation.
