We are working with a global aviation company in West Sussex seeking a Legal Counsel for their team to work on a wide range of transactional matters.
Working closely with the Senior Lawyer, this unique in-house role is embedded within the business, and offers the ideal candidate an opportunity to provide support directly to business on a variety of international commercial matters, such as:
- Handling and finalising commercial contracts, including services and framework agreements, tenders and agreements relating to air transportation
- Managing and reviewing supplier agreements, including associated due diligence
- Supporting on ad hoc queries relating to company secretarial, data protection and IT matters
- Assisting on corporate project work and providing associated legal advice
- Managing potential areas of legal risk - identifying, highlighting and mitigating, where appropriate
- Providing training to the wider business
- Setting up precedents in line with legal, regulatory and corporate environment.
This role would ideally suit a qualified solicitor with at least 2 years' PQE, that has prior experience of handling commercial transactions within the aviation industry, as well as possessing a demonstrable understanding of aviation regulatory regimes and legislation.
Experience of cross-border deals, as well as prior in-house experience, would be advantageous.
Candidates should be confident communicators, able to build business relationships with ease.
