Structured Reinsurance/Insurance Linked Securities Lawyer 8+PQE

As part of a growth strategy which has seen it expand at a steady pace over the past three years, this major insurance company seeks a lawyer to take on a diverse role with responsibility for its Alternative Solutions and Captive Management businesses.   As point-person to these businesses and reporting to the General Counsel, you will be closely involved in transactions including the transfer of insurance risk using captives and insurance linked securities.   

Working closely with the Alternative Solutions business, you will advise on experience accounts, sliding scale commissions, profit-sharing schemes, loss corridors, commutations, cat bonds, collateral schemes and other arrangements.  You will also be involved in insurance-linked securities products including parametric triggers, swap, repackaging and cat bond based products.   

Also providing support to the Captive Solutions business, you will advise on a range of captive lifecycle solutions ( retention buy down, aggregate stop loss protection, multi-line & multi-year capacity, adverse loss development etc) self-financing structures and parametric solutions  

You will also advise on policy wordings, broker service agreements and policy wordings and other general commercial contracts.  

The successful candidate is likely to have at least 8 yeas' PQE gained in an insurance/reinsurance environment to include exposure to at least some of the above products.  Lawyers from a reinsurance, corporate insurance or insurance-linked securities background or those with singificant P&C wordings experience will be considered for the position.
