What skills will you need in order to be eligible to apply?

The job involves defending a caseload of fast track litigated disease claims (NIHL). Supporting with supervisory assistance and training where appropriate. You be used to working with other solicitors, insurers, experts, counsel and clients. Attending court hearings if needed, with strong Drafting skills. Candidates who have experience with Management Information would be at an advantage for this Industrial Disease Solicitors opportunity.

This above is not exhaustive and you will be expected to perform other duties and have other responsibilities that fall within the wider remit of the role. (This is subject to experience and candidate with a range of PQE will be considered for NIHL Solicitors post).

You will demonstrate that you have previously worked to financial management in respect of running your own files, achieving annual fee targets. You’ll have the opportunities to take part in helping to prevent upcoming claims by helping to form correct working methods by providing tailored training, in-house talks and workshops, to clients plus insurers.

If you have been a Fee Earner in following positions (Senior Legal Executive or Solicitor), ideally with a fast track litigation background, ideally gained within a defendant environment (Claimant Solicitor are also welcome to apply). Exposure to Civil Procedure Rules is important.
