REGULATORY SOLICITOR ASSOCIATE NQ-3 – MANCHESTER

Regulatory Solicitor Associate – This leading Manchester-based firm is looking for an NQ-3 with regulatory experience such as health and safety, fitness to practice, food safety, financial services regulations and environmental investigations. Candidates with a background in criminal regulatory work should certainly apply.

  • Previous experience: Candidates ideally should have somewhere between 0 – 3 years PQE of Regulatory work. NQs will certainly be considered if they have completed a regulatory seat on their training contract.

THE TEAM

The Regulatory team advises clients on important criminal and regulatory matters involving a wide number of areas including financial services regulations and other professional regulatory matters as well as Health and Safety Protocols and environmental regulations.

As well as this non contentious work, the team also advises companies and organisations who are subject to criminal prosecutions where a breach has occurred. Clients are advised on not just the fundamental aspects of the law, but also how to manage a breach and ensure the correct steps are taken as soon as possible.

The team work in tandem with other departments in the firm to provide an in-depth all-encompassing service to a range of clients from SME’s to large national PLCs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a highly technical area of law which draws on an array of statute and case law. In particular, candidates should be familiar with PACE and the Health and Safety Act. Candidates with experience of bringing or defending fitness to practice claims should also apply.

Experience of regulatory prosecution work would be highly beneficial including experience of conducting interviews under caution. All in all, this is a chance to really develop your skills and expertise in this area of law with one of the best departments in the UK.
