Interim Contracts Lawyer - Financial Services Sector
Our client is a dynamic and fast growing technology business working successfully within the financial services market. They are expanding into new products and need an experienced contracts manager or lawyer to help establish a contracts base and negotiate with customers and suppliers.
You will negotiate with large financial services businesses and underwriters to put in place agreements, often of a complex nature. You will also establish a database of standard contracts for use by the company. You will advise on parties’ obligations, data protection, IP, marketing rights, notice and manage disputes. You will be working closely with the Directors and the technical team, but will have individual responsibility for contracts.
Key skills required are:
- Legal background
- Good understanding of commercial contracts and ability to draft from scratch
- Ability to work and negotiate with large organisations
- Flexible, committed and deliver to timescales
- Understanding of compliance – there will be many risks to mitigate against
- Ideally previous experience in financial services sector
