Planning Locum

Venn Group's specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Planning Lawyer to join a Local Authority legal team in East Anglia. The assignment is offered for an initial period of 3-6 months, with a strong possibility of extension, dependent upon work load. The client is also flexible in regards to offering homeworking for a successful candidate.

The successful applicant will have a thorough knowledge of planning law and will have managed their own caseload of matters in a Local Government environment.

The day-to-day duties will include:

• Providing advise on a wide range of planning matters
• Advising and representing clients in negotiations and discussions
• Drafting and negotiating section 106 agreements
• Offer ad-hoc planning advice where required to clients and colleagues
• Attending planning inquiries and Planning Committees

The position offers an hourly rate of £30-40 per hour and is offered on a full time/part time basis. Part time applicants will also be considered.
