Accounts Supervisor / Legal Cashier - Brighton 

Our client is a leading law firm based in Brighton and they have an immediate job vacancy for an experienced person to join their accounts team at Supervisor level working under the Head of Accounts.

You will be working with client accounts and  will have worked in a similar role.  You will have an excellent understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules and have worked in a supervisory capacity

Duties include:

  • Monitoring of all monies moving within the client accounts
  • Ensuring Money Laundering Regulations are strictly adhered to
  • Preparing and auhorising TT's and BACS 
  • Closing files
  • Calculations of interest due to clients
  • Staff training and inductions

Personal Specification:

  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and Money Laundering Regulations
  • Strong accounting skills
  • A thorough understanding of ledgers and accounting procedures
  • Ability to manage own work load whilst supervising others
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent numeracy
  • Flexible to cover duties as required to ensure smooth running of the department
  • Experienced in using Case Management Systems (Eclipse Proclaim ideal, although not essential)
