This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading intellectual property law firm where they bring together the specialist IP services of patent and trade mark attorneys and solicitors within a single IP firm. Our client is looking to recruit an experienced HR Manager to be based in their Southampton office, but also servicing their London office employee population.

 

The post holder will manage a small team and oversee all HR matters for the firm, including coaching and supporting business leaders and partners in all employee relations and people management issues. The post holder must have significant exposure to the L&D function as they will be responsible for ensuring that the knowledge and learning vision and capabilities are aligned to the business.

 

As HR Manager you will work alongside the Director of HR & Business Management whose approach is hands off on a day to day basis. The successful candidate will be a bright, commercial HR professional with proven experience of having worked in the professional services sector, and experience of working within partnership environments. Ideally you will have solid academic qualifications, or equivalent, as well as an HR qualification and a proven track record of HR development and success. You will also possess the skills and abilities to challenge and question but also to be challenged.

 

You will have the ability to communicate effectively and quickly build credibility with all your stakeholders, up and down. Evidence of previously having worked collaboratively with colleagues is also required.
