LEGAL ASSISTANT – POST COMPLETIONS / CONVEYANCING – SOUTH MANCHESTER
My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Legal Assistant with post completions experience to join their South Manchester based office working within the busy conveyancing team assisting a team of experienced residential conveyancing solicitors. A minimum of 6 months residential conveyancing experience within a post completions role is essential.

My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Legal Assistant with post completions experience to join their South Manchester based office working within the busy conveyancing team assisting a team of experienced residential conveyancing solicitors. A minimum of 6 months residential conveyancing experience within a post completions role is essential.

Post completions / conveyancing duties include:
- Prepare and lodge AP1 and FR1 applications at the Land Registry within priority periods
- Deal with any requisitions within HMLR time – limits with assistance of fee-earners
- Update and respond promptly to any queries raised by mortgage lenders and clients on progress of registrations
- Chase Landlords and Management companies for receipts Notices of Assignment/charge and deal with any further enquiries raised with assistance of fee-earner where necessary
- Send completed registrations, and any necessary deeds/indemnity policies to clients and/or mortgage lenders
- Update the team on changes to the Registration process
- To ensure that the Land Registry portal terms and conditions are met when lodging applications
- To manage the repayment of retentions on leasehold files
- To highlight to the Post completion Manager/Deputy Manager any case where there is a risk of removal from the lender panel or a negligence claim
