Our client is a global energy projects organisation employing over 150,000 staff. They have operations around the world, handle numerous high-worth projects and viewed as an industry leader.

There now exists an exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for a senior legal manager to head the team as General Counsel and handle an international role. The role can be based in Delhi or Bangalore. 

As GC you will be responsible for taking a hands-on approach to both leading and developing the team, whilst providing commercial legal support to the business across the region. As a member of the senior management team you will be involved in both strategic decision making and day to day operational affairs.

You must be an astute, commercially focused lawyer with extensive commercial legal and TURNKEY PROJECTS experience.

Ideally you will come from an energy, construction, engineering or infrastructure background and it is essential you have experience of managing an in-house legal team. You will also be responsible for handling company secretarial matters, handling disputes, managing external counsel plus competition, corporate affairs and many other matters. 

For consideration you must possess the skills and experience highlighted above, specifically including turnkey projects (design, build and construction). You must also have a law degree and be a lawyer qualified in India with a minimum of 15 PQE*
