Our client is a leading international law firm with over 50 offices and nearly 4000 lawyers spanning the globe. Their London based accounts department provides a professional service to the international practice.

They are now looking to hire a Senior Business Partner Analyst who will act as a strategic interface between Corporate, Securities, Risk Advisory Practices, and the Finance Department. The Business Partner Analyst will ensure that the members of the practice areas receive effective, efficient and responsive financial data, support, reporting and analysis so that appropriate decisions can be taken to drive revenue and profitability growth.

This role will not have direct line management responsibility for any other staff but will work closely with the London Revenue Manager and finance teams to ensure delivery of operational and strategic services.

Responsibilities

Serving as the financial link between the practice groups and the finance department.

Enabling the practice group to achieve its objectives, make decisions and plan appropriately through the effective understanding and use of financial information.

Providing necessary financial support to ensure strategic business development, client retention and increased client profitability within the practice groups.

Responsibility for the review and follow up of working capital issues within the practice group.

Co-ordination of annual revenue budgets and re-forecast for the practice groups. 

Co-ordination of the financial review process for the practice groups.

Supporting the practice area partners in pricing program, and client bids and proposals where finance-enabled capability adds value.

Providing financial mentoring to newly promoted partners / laterals / promotion candidates.

Supporting the practice groups in building business cases for required initiatives, such as lateral hires, practice area and geographic expansion.

Supporting the Head of Practice Management in the overall financial management of the practice area.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have a solid grounding and a breadth and depth of post qualification experience in the financial management or professional services organisation.

A recognised professional accountancy qualification.

Ability to deal with people at all levels.

Proven forward planning skills and the ability to manage others and help them to prioritise their workloads effectively.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

High levels of computer literacy and competence.
