Commercial Counsel

This a commercial role which has been created as part of a team to deliver a variety of legal services to multiple business units in the UK and Ireland region.

The Client is a multinational energy company with group companies based in the UK & Ireland as well as North America.

Description

The individual will be a member of a strong, high performing legal team in delivering a strategic legal approach to commercial and contract related issues for all business units across the UK & Ireland, providing support for commercial issues across a number of business units, depending on where the need arises. This is a varied role which will allow growth in a candidates expertise.

Profile

The successful candidate will be like to:

• Have strong contract drafting and negotiation skills as well as broad commercial law experience including basic knowledge of areas of law including contract law, competition, privacy and intellectual property

• Be a professionally Qualified lawyer of high calibre - preferably with in-house experience

• Have a minimum 4 years post qualification experience

• Have had business facing experience in a legal role dealing with a range of commercial legal issues as well as working directly with business leaders. Experience of working in a regulated industry would be beneficial
