In-house Counsel

An exceptional opportunity has arisen with a multi-award winning and reputable business, Cambridgeshire, for a commercially astute Solicitor of around 3 years PQE, to join the business as Sole Legal Counsel. The position would suit a candidate eager to move out of Private Practice and work at the heart of a thriving and entrepreneurial business; providing a comprehensive and commercially driven legal service to internal stakeholders on a global scale. Salary is dependent on experience.

Based in the Head Office of this global organisation, the successful Commercial Solicitor will advise the business on a wide range of matters, not limited to; negotiating, drafting and reviewing various commercial contracts on an international scale, managing risk, compliance and data protection, assisting HR and employment law issues, assisting on corporate matters, and working with external counsel on managing the legal budget. The successful commercial solicitor will work closely with the senior management team and Directors, in addition to providing legal advice to other offices internationally.

Applications are invited from commercially astute Solicitors, ideally with a background in Commercial and Corporate matters, with a commercial approach and desire to work within a growing business, making decisions that affect and drive the progress of the company. Candidates will ideally have spent some time working In-house, either in their training contract or on secondment; however applications from Private Practice candidates are also encouraged.
