Employment lawyer looking to move away from litigation?
THE FIRM
This young-but-ambitious legal-services firm is based in easily accessible offices in Worcester. A “one-stop-shop” providing advice and assistance with a wide range of legal matters, the firm is expanding rapidly. Among the roles they are looking to fill is that of an employment lawyer to provide advice across a wide range of issues. This is an interesting opportunity to join a growing firm and really make this role your own.
THE ROLE
This is a wide-ranging role providing advice in every area of employment law, in person and also through a dedicated telephone helpline. The successful lawyer will be covering all HR matters, Health and Safety advice, matters relating to TUPE and the rest and will assist the litigation team in preparation for Tribunals. You will probably be 2+ years’ PQE with the ability to move the department forward through marketing and business development, although this might be an excellent role for an experienced solicitor looking to move away from the stresses of litigation. This is a supportive, friendly and ambitious working environment and the firm is looking for a “good fit” in terms of character and personality just as much as experience. THE CANDIDATE
You will:-
Be a solicitor or an experienced legal executive;
Have a very solid background in employment matters;
Possibly have a following of clients, although this is advantageous rather than essential;
Have first-class client care skills, with the ability to explain complex matters in clear, straightforward language.
