Regulatory Associate

Due to organic growth in both work and clients as well as lateral hires, their highly regarded regulatory practice which sits within a wider disputes team is seeking an additional talented regulatory associate. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in supporting larger matters and leading smaller matters with a caseload of compliance and regulatory defence work. The successful candidate will be happy to roll up their sleeves not only on the client work, but also for business development, marketing and mentoring.

Ideally, you will have excellent academics and have trained at a reputable firm. Experience on the client side is desirable. Expertise in at least some of the following areas is essential (but they would be willing to consider someone bringing a new discipline to the team, if you can demonstrate a solid business case):

- White Collar Crime / Investigations / Fraud / AML / ABC / Export control & Sanctions
- Safety, health & environment
- Trading Law (Product Liability, Trading Standards, Marketing & Advertising including regulated areas such as tobacco and
- Corporate due diligence
- Transport & Travel
- Life sciences (food, pharma, MHRA, etc.)

Technical ability and attention to detail are minimum expectations, but the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to place compliance in a useable commercial context for clients, as well as an ability to apply their mind to new areas of regulatory law.
