The candidate will be required to negotiate and review all commercial agreements including but not limited to client/partner/vendor agreements and associated NDAs and MOUs ensuring each subsidiary is appropriately protected in terms of contractual liability and legal risk. The role will also be required to support product development, marketing and strategic initiatives related to both the legal entities and associated products.

Description
Negotiate and oversee conclusion of contractual relationships with clients, suppliers, vendors and partners
Support and implement new product functionality via applicable legal terms
Advise Board and Senior Management on non standard legal and contractual risks
Evaluate and respond to changes in UK and EU legal and regulatory requirements as they arise
Interact with other departments in response to relevant requests (e.g. Compliance, Audit, Finance, Marketing)
Design, manage and monitor compliance
Ensure contract template changes are managed and coordinated with other regions (US and APAC)
Host Monthly Sales and RM meetings to review legal reports and metrics to increase efficiency and transparency of legal services
Partner with CSO, Risk and Compliance to support regional regulatory and compliance policies.
Manage and support 1 or more paralegals
Support Deputy General Counsel on ad hoc projects across the department and the region e.g. intra group transfer pricing arrangements, data transfer agreements, intra group service level agreements
Profile
Qualified Lawyer (LLB or equivalent)
5 - 10 years corporate and/or commercial experience (preferably with 3 years in house experience in a financial services or technology company)
Material experience of data and/or software licensing/development terms
Significant contractual drafting experience and associated negotiation skills
Experience of interacting with and managing the delivery of legal services to an in house sales force
Strong commercial judgement and risk assessment skills
