Corporate Associate/ Senior Associate Solicitor - Flexible
CRA Legal - Corporate Associate - I have been tasked with the challenge (a difficult one at that) in helping my client in the appointment of a corporate solicitor into their thriving practice. Naturally this is a difficult individual to source in the local market, but in terms of market options, this would be worth giving some thought towards.
The practice has continued to grow the team increasing their presence in the market. The current overview is 3 partners, 2 solicitors, 4 trainees, a paralegal and a support member of staff. The two current solicitors are still at a junior level PQE and there is a large gap present between partnership and solicitors. As such, they would like an experienced solicitor to fill this gap, effectively helping to mentor juniors and work closely with partnership, strengthening the overall structure of the team.
The practice has a unique base of clients ranging from significant corporates through to mid tier regional clients, down to specialist/ boutique companies of a smaller outfit. As such, in terms of the client portfolio you have worked with, you will be able to continue at this level, but also gain insight and experience of different clients. This is a key feature the team are proud to highlight, which offers continuous variety and challenge to their work.
The work is still that of a corporate lawyer, however, there is talk of improved work life balance compared to the majority of the local competition. There is also flexibility with office location and splitting time between offices. Agile working is still being implemented into the practice, however, has started to be used by members of the corporate practice.
In short, there are a lot of benefits that make this position worth considering. The partner of this department appreciates the value that someone could bring of the 4-8 PQE level. He is happy to accommodate off an site meeting on a relatively informal basis with individuals who are interested in finding out more about this position and the firm, prior to entering a more formal process - further to this meetings can be conducted out of the standard working hours (if standard even exists in corporate law)
